The Kenmore Diner has a rich history dating back to the early 1940s. Originally located on Park Avenue in Worcester. In 1965, it found its permanent home at its current Franklin Street location.
In 1974, James and Pauline Yantsides took over the diner from it's previous owners. Over the next five decades, they transformed it into a beloved community gathering spot.
In December of 1999 when the Worcester Cold Storage warehouse was demolished, the diner was inadvertently destroyed in the process. It was rebuilt and reopened for business in January 2001.
After 50 years, James and Pauline retired in January 2024. Jimmy handed the keys to the Paddock Family, and they opened for breakfast at 6am the next morning, without interruption of service for its loyal customers.
Christon and Ryan Paddock, along with their daughters, continue the legacy of a local neighborhood woven together by comfort food. Sustaining deep roots in the community, maintaining its retro warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Thank you to our wonderful regulars, and welcome to our new friends!
Cheers! - The Paddocks
